HATHA YOGA

The practice of nurturing mind, body and spirit.

Centred around the notion of physical and emotional balance, Hatha Yoga is a good practice to work on your alignment, learn relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with practising yoga while building strength and flexibility.

At a Yogabee Hatha Yoga Class you can expect a slower-paced flow class with basic breathing exercises + sweet meditation to finish. Hatha classes provide an opportunity to stretch, unwind and release tension.

HATHA FLOW

The practice to detoxify the body and centre the mind.

The strength of Hatha Flow Yoga is in its diversity. If you’d like to shake up your traditional Hatha Yoga practice and add a little flow into the mix, then this class is definitely worth a try.

Yogabee Hatha Flow Yoga classes will incorporate Sun Salutations, standing and seated postures, inversions, breath-work (Pranayama) mindful flow and of course, our sweet meditation and relaxation to end. Hatha Flow provides you the opportunity to cultivate a bit of heat and release tension.

YIN YOGA

The practice to nourish and rejuvenate.

Yin is a quiet, meditative practice and will work wonders for the hips and lower body. Yin is magical for building lasting flexibility, improving range of motion, strengthening joints, calming the nervous system and reducing stress and anxiety.

At a Yogabee Yin class, you can expect a sweet series of long held floor poses (3-5 minutes) designed to completely relax the muscles to work deep into the layers of fascia (connective tissue) in the body.

We will use props throughout our practice (bolsters / blankets / blocks) to ensure that we can fully connect with our three Principles of Yin:

  •  – Finding our edge
  •  – Being still 
  •  – Holding the pose

Yin gives you the time to balance the opposites and stimulate the flow of chi (energy) throughout, allowing you to get to know yourself, tune in and let go.

YOGA NIDRA

The practice of quiet, calmness and clarity.

Yoga Nidra (also known as Yogic Sleep) is one of the deepest of all meditations.

Yoga Nidra is a beautiful and nurturing way to reduce stress and will promote a deep rest and relaxation. When practiced right, Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as sleep, while remaining fully conscious.

At a Yogabee Yoga Nidra class you will be gently guided through stages of body scan and breath awareness to a state of complete relaxation, stillness and insight. Yoga Nidra is a great way to reduce stress and calm the nervous system. Yoga Nidra has your back.
